I downloaded the 2.5 version and everytime I try to surf to an internet side the software crashes. I get no error message or anything else. The software only closes without any message.
By crash do you mean you mean "nothing happens:? It sounds to me like you haven't got the .net compact framework 2.0 installed on your Pocket Pc. Take a look at the bottom of this page: http://www.anoriginalidea.com/webby.htm for more information on this.
By crash I mean that the software disapperas. It is not running anymore. I try to go to an URL and suddenly the running program is gone, like it was closed by some event or so. My PIE is working fine and Minimo worked fine, too.
I have the CF2.0 installed. Other apps requiering the CF2.0 are working.
Sorry to hear that Homer. Noone else has reported symptoms quite like these. The problem may be not enough memory or perhaps a hardware issue. I'd like to hear from anyone else with an Asus that may have had a similar experience?
Constant crashes on both test phones. Reinstalling, rebooting and reinstalling of Compact Framework makes no difference. Definitely problematic. Very VERY disappointed as had high hopes having been sent a link to the webby site.
Incidentally. The phones we tested in the office are a WM6 Hermes (official upgrade NOT custom!) and a M600 / Prophet untouched default WM5. BOTH suffering with same problems. Within few seconds of surfing a freeze occurred on both. The address bar selection option also crashes both phones which is most annoying. I've asked one of my staff to test the software on her BLUE ANGEL phone this afternoon to see how she gets on.
